10.02.1915: Last greetings

Military mail sent by Franz Mack to his parents showing a picture of Metz supposedly from 20.02.1915:

Last greetings from the fatherland near by the border. This area was the showplace for the first battles.

“All quiet, except small achievements for our troops in the forest of Argonne, west of the vosges mountains, at Ban-de-Sapt and in the forest of Hirzbach.”
